glasse is a multi-genre artist whose work is rooted in reflections on existentialism, the ensuing pursuit of joy as an act of resistance, and the visceral nature of performance.

Inspired by their experiences with narrative-driven worldbuilding, they are compelled to explore a variety of mediums in presenting their art, with a prominent focus on audiovisual cohesion.

Their debut EP “despair falls” is based on a 4-part piece of concept writing done in early 2021. The project follows a person and a spirit as they search for salvation in a desolate land after plunging into an abyss of despair. On “despair falls," glasse branches out from primarily orchestral compositions to put down roots in more guitar- and vocal-based songwriting, drawing influence from alternative genres such as folk, post-rock, and ambient.
